MUSIC FOR THE GUT is thrilled to be back at TCU Place! Our concerts raise awareness and funds for 300,000 Canadians living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. We are proud to have contributed $183,000 to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada!

The eclectic program features a 72-VOICE ENSEMBLE performing powerful uplifting pop/rock hits and musical theatre standards, in large and small groups – accompanied by our fabulous 13-PIECE ORCHESTRA – GUT BANDA!

Music for the Gut was founded by the Hughton family in 2011. Three members of the Hughton family live with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, as do many of our performers and crew. We are thankful for over 350 performers and crew who have dedicated their time and talents to our concerts, the past 12 years!

The Hughton family were honoured to receive the 2019 National Finkelstein Award, from Crohn’s and Colitis Canada co-founder Marilyn Finkelstein, in Toronto, proudly received on behalf of our entire Music for the Gut family! Thanks to many… Music for the Gut is… A Spectacular Summer Event!

Music for the Gut performers are all auditioned and talented friends of Jordie Hughton. Members come from many groups including Fireside Singers, Saskatoon Summer Players, Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, University of Saskatchewan Music students and graduates, teachers and students from Saskatoon Academy of Music and SaskExpress Saskatoon, Acoustic Theory, and students of the Jordie Hughton Vocal Studio.

There will be a Mega Raffle, 50/50 and Donations – Proceeds to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada!
